Fundraising in aid of the Utran Kili Project in Afghanistan has been completed & two NEW projects call for your help!
Status on 1st december 2012: we have raised €7510,- in aid of the Utran Kili Project through the sale of my Afghanistan-series paintings, postcards and further separately received donations. This means that this first phase of building and then completing the new school in Utran Kili has now been achieved!
In name of the children of Utran Kili, I thank you for your willingness to support this important educational project so far! Without your help this school would have never been built. The school is now supported by the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan in order to maintain the high education standards. The school was built by the local community of Utran and so new job opportunities were created for them. The teaching staff all stem from the neighbouring surroundings.
During 2013 my fundraising efforts are set to continue and of course I hope for your support! Two other, already built, schools in Afghanistan are in need of a library for which there were no funds available up to now. I hope to raise them in 2013!
