Description
“Hero-Glyphical Blues” finds its origins in Egypt, the homeland of my ‘hero’ physiotherapist. He taught me not only about hieroglyphics, but sparked my interest in ancient Egypt while he resurrected me step by step from the serious stroke which I suffered.
Gradually, I associated the patience with which he carried out his difficult work with what the Egyptians have always done: in just as laborious and lengthy a process as the Nile took to reach higher land. Step by step, with the shadoof, this hand-powered irrigation system allows the water to flow to arid elevated land, which then surprisingly came to life.
